Jadyn Newman is a senior at TF South, and has a huge heart for the drama club. She has been participating in plays and musicals since she was 10 years old, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time with the Rebel Players. The upcoming musical, Legally Blonde, will be Jadyn’s 4th and final musical at South. Her favorite past roles have been Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Penny Pingleton from Hairspray, and The Narrator of last year’s GI “A Tale Dark and Grimm.” This year, she hopes to connect the drama students with the community, the younger students, the rest of the school, and with one another. She expects a prosperous and fun-filled year with the TF South Drama Club!

Lucille LaMar is a senior at T.F. South High School where she is president of National Honors Society, Vice-President of Environmental Club, and Treasurer of the Drama Club. She is thrilled to be serving as an officer to the Rebel Players for a second year and is thrilled to be working with such an amazing board of officers. She has taken part in eight TF South productions. These include: Something Rotten in the State of Denmark, Beauty and the Beast, Anatomy of Gray, Biggity Bad, and The Drowsy Chaperone. She also assistant directed Daphne Bigelow and the Spine-Chilling Saga of the Snail Encrusted Tinfoil Noose, Gloria, and The Late Night Confessions of a Bipolar Teen.

Alexander Gonzalez is a senior at T.F. South and has been part of the drama family since his freshman year. From being a misogynistic teenage boy in The Bright Blue Suicide Note, a farmer in Anatomy of Gray, a sleazy manager in Groovarella, and even the devil himself in A Tale Dark and Grimm, Alex looks forward to finishing out his senior year as the Drama Club’s historian, as well as participating in the fall musical.

angelAngel McLemore  –  Co-Assistant Technician

Angel McLemore is one of the current Co-Assistant Technicians for T.F. South Drama Club for the 2018-2019 school year. She started her acting career playing the role of Prunella in “Groove-A-Rella” for Experimentals 2017. Last year, she performed in the fall musical The Drowsy Chaperone. In contest season 2018, Angel multitasked her talents performing in the Group Interpretation play A Tale Dark & Grimm while also acting as sound technician for Gloria.

download (1)Hailey Stepp  –  Co-Assistant Technician

Hailey Stepp has been a techie at T.F. South since her freshman year. She has worked on both ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’. Hailey was also a part of the Award-Winning Contest Crew for ‘Gloria’, and has recently picked up lighting work during Experimentals. The 2018-2019 school year will be her first as Co-Assistant Technician.

Junior Gina Flores is a Co-Assistant Stage Manager. She’s been in drama since her freshman year after attending Drama Camp the summer after her 8th grade year. Coming into the club, she originally wanted to only focus on acting, but she was also encouraged to go to tech sessions and do contest crew. The T.F.S. Rebels Rithout Applause then attended the IHSA State finals March 2017 for the contest play “Anatomy Of Grey.” Gina adores tech and continues to act, most recently performing in “Late Night Confessions of a Bipolar Teen” for Experimentals 2018.

anthony.jpgAnthony Kestner –  Co-Props Chairperson

Anthony Kestner is the current Co-Props Chairperson here at T.F. South High School for the 2018-2019 school year. He is very excited to be working with the entire Drama family this year and the years beyond. His most recent work with the Drama Department is portraying Aldolpho in “The Drowsy Chaperone.” He was also in the 2017 Contest Play and G.I. and 2017 Experimentals. This year marks his first year as Props Chairperson.

James Wengren  –  Co-Props Chairperson

James Wengren has been involved in theater since his days at Memorial Junior High, attending and now serving as counselor for Drama Summer Camp. Last fall, he performed as George in T.F. South’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone. He then worked on our award-winning Technical Crew, assisting with sound, before winning a Best Actor award for his role in Landslides during Experimentals.

Natalie Dominiak is now a sophomore at T.F. South. She was the lead (Janet VanderGraff) in last year’s fall musical The Drowsy Chaperone, and she participated in the 2017-2018 competition season. She is glad to be a part of this year’s Rebel Players Officers’ Staff as Co-Makeup Chairperson.

Brandon Jones –  Co-Costume Chairperson

Brandon Jones is Co-Costume Chair for Drama Club at Thornton Fractional South and has been part of the club for 3 years. He also has been doing drama in general since 7th grade. Some plays he has been in include Beauty and the Beast, Experimentals and The Drowsy Chaperone.
